Kay, first (man I apologize a lot on this blog…-_-“), I’m really sorry!! I’ve been really busy with school which is why I haven’t been posting…-_-”
So, the new Final Fantasy XV trailer…*passes out from awesomeness after watching new trailer*
Even if I cant understand a word they say, I still get chills every time I watch this O.O
*few minutes later after checking for the release date, sees the console it’ll be on*:
“NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! PS4?! NOOoooOOOooo…..” Guess I gotta start saving my money up for a PS4…T_T
Okay, so I know I haven’t been posting much (more like AT ALL >.<), but I promise I’ll post ACTUAL posts soon!! I PROMISE!!! I AM SO SORRY!!! >.< That aside, I thought that I would just let any SAO (Sword Art Online) fans out there know that you can watch the first 7 English dubbed episodes online for free now!! And I am going to give you guys the links for them! ^_^
If you’ve never heard of SAO,
shame on you!! you can check out my review of the series here! ^w^ If you’re into anime and video games (specifically RPGs) then you’ll most likely love this series as much as I do!
Again, I promise to get some more real posts up soon to make up for the lack of them! SOO SORRY!! >.
So…I was looking at Sword Art Online videos on YouTube while doing my SAO review when I came across something that I’m sure will make all SAO lovers extremely happy!! And that is…A YouTube Live Action Series called “Sword Art Online Reboot”!!
I know what some of you might be thinking, “It’s gonna be crappy fanmade stuff!!!”. Well…
So, since it’s with professionals writing the script and ACTUAL good quality cameras, it should be good, right?? All I can say is, YES!!!!!! MORE SAO!!!!! >o<
There’s one anime that’s probably THE best anime EVER for a geeks (like me) who LOVE video games and RPGs!! And that anime is…
SWORD ART ONLINE!!!
As you can probably tell already from the title and what I’ve already told you, SAO is about a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Mass Multi Online Role Playing Game) called…well…”Sword Art Online”! It follows Kazuto Kirigaya aka Kirito-kun (his screen name) as he plays many online games.
SAO takes place in the year 2022 where technology has advanced so much that there’s now a game console called “Nerve Gear”, which is a helmet that you place on your head. It allows players to go into the game itself by sending messages to the brain that fools it into thinking that you’re in the game physically.
Only 10,000 copies of the new highly anticipated game SAO for the Nerve Gear are sold to gamers and for a very good reason. After a few hours of playing and walking through the world, Aincrad, all 10,000 players are teleported back to the town plaza where they are welcomed by the creator of SAO, Kayaba Akihiko. He informs everyone about something that turns their lives into a living hell.
No player is allowed to log out of the game once they log in. There are only two ways to escape the game: if your HP level reaches zero, in which you won’t only die in just the game, but also in real life, or if you defeat all 100 levels of the game. Also, if someone, such as a family member, tries to take the Nerve Gear helmet off (which some have already tried, 213 to be exact), something in the Nerve Gear that acts like a microwave will turn on and fry your brain, killing you. By the end of the episode it tells you that, after just one month, 2,000 players’ HP levels have reached zero.
Along the way, Kirito becomes one of the strongest players and meets a girl named Asuna who he fights alongside with. They go through many emotional events, both by themselves and together.
The series then continues in what is considered the second season called “ALfheim Online” aka the Fairy Dance Arc (which I won’t say anything more about cause I’m trying my hardest to make this review spoiler-free).
Here’s the trailer for the upcoming (this summerish) English dub (since I couldn’t find the official Japanese one)! ^.^
Here’s a couple of examples of how epic and awesome the battles are in SAO!
And…some AMVs to further show how great this anime is:
THESE TWO CONTAIN MAJOR SPOILERS!!!!!! BEWARE!!!! DO NOT WATCH IF YOU PLAN TO WATCH SAO/HAVEN’T WATCHED IT YET
There’s also light novels and a manga for SAO!!
The final verdict…I give this series a 9.5/10!! ^_^ Now go on!!! Stop reading this and watch it already!!! 😉
I am now 22 minutes (according to the PlayStation) away from playing Final Fantasy VII!!! ^o^ Man…FFVII was the game that got me into Final Fantasy and now I can FINALLY play it instead of watching it on YouTube! xD I can NOT wait to watch that Shin-Ra train roll down those tracks and watch Cloud jump off… 🙂 As I “patiently” wait, I’m just watching random Final Fantasy videos on YouTube like “Final Fantasy – History Of”, “LOVELESS recited by Genesis” and then I’ll probably watch more. My only concern about playing this game is I KNOW I’m gonna weep like a baby when I see Aerith/Aeris die…and during the flashback with Zack… 😥 Oh well… 😉
Here’s Wil Wheaton talking about why it’s awesome being a nerd!!! So, don’t let anyone tell you it’s weird or not okay to be a nerd!!! 😉 ^.^
Okay, so I went to go play a video game for the first time in a while (Ni No Kuni!!! ^O^) and I was SUUUPER pumped cause I heard that this game really good and the artwork’s by the guy who does work for Studio Ghibli. But then after I popped the disc in a message popped up saying “Now installing. This installment will take 10
hours minutes” Me: -_-” WHY?!!!???? T_T So, now I am “patiently” waiting for the installment to be complete so I can FINALLY play the AMAZING “Ni ni Kuni”!!! Why does it have to be 10 minutes…? And yes I know this is a VERY random post…I don’t know why I’m posting this…I guess I’m just in a really random mood right now… xP
Today, my teacher told me I had to write a descriptive paragraph about a memory I have. At first I couldn’t really decide what good memory to do. I knew I wanted it to be a peaceful one, one with a lot of meaning and emotion in it, but I just couldn’t think of the right one. Then, my best friend phoned me to ask me a question about it and she read hers to me and I loved it. After we talked for a bit and then hung up, I began to think more about what I wanted to do. I thought about how I felt when I listen to emotional and nostalgic video game and anime music in the dark and in my bed after a long day and the how calm it makes me feel, but that wasn’t really a MEMORY so that THAT wouldn’t work. And then it hit me. I could do the memory I had of trying to play the main theme of Final Fantasy VII on my keyboard and how it made me feel so calm and nostalgic and everything! So…that’s what I did! Since this is a video game blog after all (well, okay I’ve been doing a BUNCH of manga/anime lately though…which I apologize to my gamer viewers for that…) I decided to share it with you guys!! ^.^ So…here it is!!! Let me know what you think~!! But, ACTUALLY…before I do that I show you guys what the main theme sounds like for those of you who don’t!
Okay…NOW I’ll show it to you guys!! haha xP
I placed the sheet music that read “Final Fantasy VII MAIN THEME” on the stand attached to the black keyboard and felt my heart swell as I stared at the dancing black notes on the two pages. I turned the switch on and watched as the red glow of the double zeros appeared on the keyboard, showing that it had been turned on. I looked at the first note beside the swirling black symbol called a treble clef. I pressed down on one of the many white keys, trying to guess which one that note was, since I didn’t know because I hadn’t taken a piano lesson in my life. The sound of the note rang out and I frowned in disappointment because I knew it was the wrong one. I knew this because the song had been imprinted in my head from listening to its heart-wrenching and nostalgic sound over and over again. After a few more guesses, I pressed down on one last key and smiled as I heard the note ring. I look back up at the sheet music and slowly figured out the rest of the notes for the first page. After another half an hour of practising just the first page and a bit of the second, the notes come naturally and I’m able to let my fingers do all the work without thinking about it too much. So then, I decide to do the normal tempo that the piece is at and close my eyes and feel my heart swell as images and scenes play through my mind like my own personal movie. The emotion of every key I play is as thick and heavy as fog. Every note makes me reminisce about all the hard ships each character goes through and what they gave up along the way and how it made them stronger. It even makes me start to tear up as I remember one of the characters’ death and how it affected everyone, both the characters in the game and the people playing the game. Each time I play it, the better the quality becomes and the more I memorize it. After the big finale and the booming of the notes, I play the few last slow notes. Then I slowly lift my fingers off the keys and relax them on my lap, smiling. I just sit there with each sweet and sad yet nostalgic and adventurous note playing over and over again in my head. Slowly, a feeling of longing grows deep inside me to watch every last second of that game just once more. A longing to watch as the train comes to a stop in front of the destructive and heinous Shin-Ra building and watch as the blond spikey-haired guy jumps down from on top of the train. Even a longing to tear up as I watched the famous scene of when the light of a gentle soul slowly dimmed, but still stayed with the characters for the rest of their long journey. A longing to watch as that spikey-haired guy and the others fight the monstrous Sephiroth and watch that last cutscene. I turn the switch off on the keyboard and see the red glow fade away. I push the stool I’m sitting on back, get up and begin to walk towards the basement stairs to watch the epic adventure of ex-SOLDIER, Cloud Strife for a second time.
There are definitely things I could change I just have NO clue HOW to…T_T I think I’ll do something else for while and then read it over again… xP
